Have you ever made a prayer list with two columns, one for “prayer requests,” and the other for “praises”? It is most definitely appropriate to praise God for answering our prayers, but our praise shouldn’t hinge on a response from God. Answered prayer is a reminder to praise God, but it shouldn’t be the reason we praise God. Spend some time today praising God for who He is. Our Savior, King, Comforter, Redeemer—the list of reasons to praise Him is endless. Let our praise for Him never cease.

As promised, I have a Role Playing Game up and ready. If you're interested, go to www.playbyweb.com, click on Other, and then on Visiting Ancients. Any other questions, just ask. The background is a follows:

While exploring the archeological dig left by the Preservers of the Ancients, a group of students come across a rare and wonderful find. They are not entirely sure how it works; all they know is what it does. It takes the imagination and transfers it to a time many thousands of years into the past. It is, for all practical proposes, a time portal.

Envision fighting along with the Children of Israel at the Battle of Jericho. Imagine aiding the Queen Esther as she prepares for what could be her death-walk to see the king. Consider what it was like to be at the foot of Jesus’ cross witnessing the moment all history was created for. That’s what this portal does.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone would be intersted in a Christian text-based RPG if I were to create one on PlayByWeb. I really enjoy going on that site, but the one damper is, most of the games are deffinately not Christian. But the thing is, I can't play a game by myself. I need at least three other people. If anyone is interested, please let me know. If there's enough interest, I will make one and advertise it here.

Also, ideas would be appreciated right about now. If you've got an idea about what you want to play- like a sci-fi, end-times, bible times, etc sort of story- please let me know.

And for those of you who don't know the site, the adress is www.playbyweb.com.

Thank you for your interest.

SPECIAL ALERT! NBC to mock the Crucifixion of Christ

NBC, fresh from giving us the anti-Christian The Book of Daniel, has decided to hit back at the Christian community by presenting an episode of Will and Grace which mocks the crucifixion of Christ.

On the April 13 edition of NBC's Will and Grace, Britney Spears will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes' homosexual character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show.

Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's." To further denigrate Christianity, NBC chose to air it the night before Good Friday.

NBC does not treat Jews, Muslins or other religions with such disrespect. Yet the network demonstrates a deep of hostility toward followers of Christ.

Call your local NBC affiliate and ask them not to air the April 13 episode of Will and Grace. Ask others to call. Click here to find your local NBC station. http://www.nbc.com/nbc/header/Local_Stations/

Click here to send a letter to NBC Chairman Bob Wright. (https://secure.afa.net/afa/afapetition/takeaction.asp?id=183) Ask your pastor to run a notice in your church bulletins and newsletters and request members to go to www.afa.net and send the email to NBC Chairman Wright.

Click here to print out a petition(pdf) asking your local NBC affiliate not to air the April 13 episode and distribute it to your Sunday School class and fellow church members. (http://www.afa.net/passalong/pdf/nbc_mocks_crucifixion.pdf)
Next, and this is very important, please forward this to your friends and family today!

Thanks for caring enough to get involved.

P.S. Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends!

The "W" in Christmas

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience.
I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, endless
baking, decorating and even overspending. Yet, still, I found myself
exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family moments and of course,
the true meaning of Christmas.

My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting
season for a six year old. For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his
school's "Winter Pageant".

I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the
production. Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with his teacher.
She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the
presentation. All Parents unable to attend that evening were welcome to
come then. Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise.
So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutes early, found a
spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several
other parents quietly scampering to their seats.

As I waited, the students were led into the room. Each class, accompanied
by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each group, one by
one, rose to perform their song.

Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the
holiday as "Christmas", I didn't expect anything other than fun commercial
entertainment - songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer.

So, when my son's class rose to sing, "Christmas Love," I was slightly
taken aback by its bold title. Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his
classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red sweaters and bright snowcaps
upon their heads. Those in the front row - center stage - held up large
letters, one by one, to spell out the title of the song

As the class would sing "C is for Christmas, " a child would hold up the
letter C. Then, "H is for Happy," and on and on, until each child holding up his
portion had presented the complete message, "Christmas Love."

The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her' a
small, quiet girl in the front row holding the letter "M" upside down - totally
unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W". The audience of the 1st through
6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake, but she had no idea they
were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her "W".

Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter
continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it together.
A hush can over the audience and eyes began to widen. In an instant, we
understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the holiday in the
first place, why even in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.

For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear:

"C H R I S T W A S L O V E"

And I believe, he still is. Amazed in His presence. humbled by His Love...
Blessing for this Christmas time and for the New Year to Come!

Walk By Faith, Not By Sight, God Bless!

Aaron Keyes is an awesome musician. He sings original songs and some old hymns, but in more of a modern theme. I heard him live at a youth trip once and got his cd. I was listening to it a second ago and thought I'd share these songs that spoke to me :3

Love You Because
Lord I cry, "Maranatha," Lord I sing, "Hallelujah"
Lord You are higher than exalted, Where You are is where I want to be
I lift my eyes to Your throne
I lift my voice yo You alone in worship

And You turn Your ear to me, draw near to me
Hold me when I am in need
And my lips will sing your praise, my heart's been set ablaze
The glory of Your face will I see
It's all because of You Lord Jesus Christ, in all that I do, in all my life
I'll worship You, I'll honour Your, I'll love You because You first loved me

Now You're there in the splendor of Your holiness
Hear this prayer, Father grant my one request
For this child who one day soon we'll see face to face
Take and guide, and shower down your sweet, sweet grace
I spread my hands before your throne
I live my life for You alone, as worship, as worship

Holy Surrender
I've don't it again, I've given in, To the very sin that breaks Yours heart
Now I return, fix my eyes on You, That's not who I am, Not who I am in You
You say I'm Your child, chosen one and friend
You love me with a love I'll never comprehend
You call me a Masterpiece, Your Poetry; Your holy place, in You, complete

Lord I give to You, All I am
In holy surrender
Jesus, take my life, Make it Yours
I need onlt remember
Hands Spread that broke bread,
Blood Shed, You dropped dead
In Your death, I see
True life, wholly surrendered for me

Lord we give to You all we have, here in holy surrender
Jesus take Your Place, rightfully Yours, We enthrone You forever
With Hands Spread, Heart's Fed, You are Exalted
In our lives please see our hearts wholly surrender to Thee

[ mood | teary ;_; ]

omgosh I found this and it made me want to cry so much..

Month One
Mommy, I am only 8 inches long, but I have all my organs. I love the sound of
your voice. Every time I hear it, I wave my arms and legs. The sound of your
heart beat is my favorite lullaby.

Month Two
Mommy, today I learned how to suck my thumb. If you could see me, you could
definitely tell that I am a baby. I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though. It is so nice and warm in here.

Month Three
You know what Mommy, I'm a girl!! I hope that makes you happy. I always want
you to be happy. I don't like it when you cry. You sound so sad. It makes me sad too, and I cry with you even though you can't hear me.

Month Four
Mommy, my hair is starting to grow. It is very short and fine, but I will have a lot of it. I spend a lot of my time exercising. I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes, and stretch my arms and legs. I am becoming quite good at it too.

Month Five
You went to the doctor today. Mommy, he lied to you. He said that I'm not a
baby. I am a baby Mommy, your baby. I think and feel. Mommy, what's abortion?

Month Six
I can hear that doctor again. I don't like him. He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home. The doctor called it a needle. Mommy what is it?
It burns! Please make him stop! I can't get away from it! Mommy!! HELP me!! No!!
. .

Month Seven
Mommy, I am okay. I am in Jesus' arms. He is holding me. He told me about
abortion. Why didn't you want me Mommy?

Every abortion is just . . .

one more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

I just want to share this with you all..

When I haven't read the Bible or talked with God, I feel really empty and don't want to
read or talk to God.
But every time I read the bible (it doesn't even have to be any thing that convicts me)
it just refreshes me, because its his word. Its kinda hard to explain but yeah.

I'm in LOVE with God so much!! My heart just wants to sing his praises for ever!!

Story I found on my friend's xanga~

God’s Music

If you know me, you know I love music. I am so much a fan of music that everywhere I go, I’m listening to a song, humming a tune, or replaying some song in my head. One place that I defiantly will have my music blaring is in my car. My car is like my own personal music library, filled with all styles of music CD’s. I only have one rule in my car regarding music: If it’s going to be played, it’s going to be played loud! This rule is especially true for those few select songs that I would put in the “personal favorite” category.
But we’ve all been there before at some point, right? Imagine for a second with me. You’re driving in your car and that perfect song comes on. You know what song I’m talking about. As soon as the intro kicks in, you instinctively reach for the volume knob and begin to turn up the volume. That’s when you really begin to have some fun.
It starts simple enough. A slight head bob here. Then it’s a quote of your favorite line off the chorus there. Next thing you know, you are in a full-on air guitar/drums/turntable/keys jam session. The car is no longer a car. It’s now a packed house at CBGB’s and you are the headliner. With every turn is a shred on the guitar. Every brake tap becomes a kick on the drums. By the time you pull up to the red light, you are Elvis, Dave Grohl, Joey Rammone, Lil’ Jon, and Bach combined. Then, in the midst of your karaoke glory, that’s when you notice…the old lady in the car next to you staring at you like you are in need of serious electro-shock therapy.
There’s a very simple reason why we get those funny looks when we’re in our car rocking out. The other car just can’t hear the music. It might make a little more sense if they could only feel the same rhythm and melody that we’re feeling. It’s the EXACT same thing with Christianity. Some times, Christians do things that may seem a little strange to the outside viewer. “Why is he raising his hands up and closing his eyes?” “Why does she always bow her head before every meal?” “Why are they over there holding hands in a circle while that one guy is speaking?”
It may seem strange to the outside world, but that’s because they can’t hear the music. They can’t hear the beautiful melodies and harmonies that the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts. Nor can they understand the rhythm that is in a God shaped heart. So what do we, as Christians, do?
They answer is simple. Roll down your window! Share your love and passion for God’s music on a frequent basis. Let your family, friends, and everyone else around you know the love you have through Jesus Christ. Think of it this way. If you heard a really great band, would you only play the music in your room, by yourself? No! Every time I hear a new, talented band the first I do is play the music for everyone around me, hoping that the music will find a larger audience and spread.
The world has been given a wonderful song. The song is God’s love for us, given by his only son, Jesus Christ. And with a hook like eternal life, how can we not want to roll down our windows, turn it up to 11, and make a fool of ourselves!

May you all be blessed with God’s song of life!

I have a friend who I haven't talked to in years because of an incident and now I've just started back talking to her and we're really close friends now. During the time we didn't talk to each other she became a Christian. Before she had been a buddhist because that's what her family was and she didn't know any better. She went to a church with a family, but the family moved to Kentucky, so she had no way of going to the church anymore. So when we became friends again she said she hadn't been to church in a long time (I'd say probably about a year, but I'm not sure.) We went to a Korean church a few months ago and we both liked it, but when I invited her again she said "I have to babysit my sister," or "I need to study." (she's the kind of person who studies for hours) or "I don't really feel like it now." I can understand the babysitting part, but the rest are just excuses. A few minutes ago I just called her and asked if she wanted to go to the church she used to go with me, but she said no. She didn't really give a reason. I think she's been away from church so long that she's forgotten the importance of church. Plus nobody is encouraging her, except me. I'm going to buy her that book I've been talking about (God's Blogs by Lanny Donoho), but I don't know if that will be enough. I want to be able to encourage her to go to church, but I'm not really sure how. If you guys have any advice that'd be awesome :3 And praying would be awesome also ^_^
Thanks and have a lovely day! God bless!! :)

In Christ,

My friend is having some problems. Her boyfriend is into wicca and one of her friends I think is an atheist. She said she's feeling lonely now. I'm pretty sure she's a Christian. She said she was, but of course that doesn't mean she is. And sense she lives in Florida and I don't, I really can't tell if she is or not. She's really sweet and nice and I just want her to feel better and for her and her friends to turn to Christ for their problems. Please pray for them! And that if she needs someone to talk to and I'm the one she talks to, let God use me in ways I can't even imagine.

Okay, scratch that. i just talked to her and she said her boyfriend's not really into wicca anymore, but she was talking about how she met her "past lover" recently. Apparently she believes in reicarination and she thinks this guy is her past lover. She said that she doesn't like him, but he's infautated with her. Like a stalker, but without the stalking part. She said she's scared. I think that the guy just likes her, but I dunno. She said she's gothic, which I didn't know about and she says she can see peoples auras which is just...weird. I wasn't really sure what kind of advice to give her. If you guys can think of anything, that'd be great! ^_^;
Thanks! Have an awesome day and God bless!! :)

In Christ,
