So your life is going great with your new Shepard. He tells you parables and if there's a disagreement it only lasts 2 seoncds because the Shepard is there to settle it. And in the end, everybody is happy. One day you, your mates, and your Shepard go out and as you are going along, one of your mates spots the wolf. Suddenly panic goes through you and some of the other newcomers. Your mates that have been in your flock aren't really that frightened though which you think is weird. You ask one of them why he's so calmy and he simply says, "The Shepard always protects His sheep. So we're going to be fine. Calm down~" Then you see your old flock and old shepard. They look scared to death. You see one of your old friends. He was always meek and feeble and you hoped the wolf wouldn't see him. The wolf suddenlt charges for your old flock and your old shepard. They all scatter and run for safety. Your feeble friend starts to run, but isn't fast enough. He suddenly cries out, "Good Shepard! Save me!" Then, at the speed of light, you see your Shepard save your friend." Your friend is saved. Safe in Your shepard's arms. Still trembling from the fear in his heart, but calming as he looks and sees that he has been redeemed. A thrill of joy goes through your heart. This Shepard really is the best ever! You see your old flock and old shepard who stand in disbelief. A few of your old mates come running to your Shepard and, as always, He greets them with a loving pat on the head and says with a smile, "Welcome, my child!" Then you look at the wolf who is standing where he landed while trying to catch your friend. He looks grim at first, but then gives a devilish grin which sends chills up your spine. You step back, but you bump into something. It's your Shepard. He is looking a bit mad, but still has the loving face He's always had. He puts down your friend and walks toward the wolf. The wolf says, "Shepard....you have defeated me before, but this time your are going down just like that other so called shepard." Then He says, "[Wolf,] I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will leave the sheep because they aren't his and he isn't their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hired hand runs away because he is merely hired and has no real concern for the sheep. I AM the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep...The Father loves me because I lay down my life that I may have it back again. No one can take my life from me. I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right to lay it down when I want to and also the power to take it again. For my Father has given me this command." (John 10 :11-15, 17-18) The Shepard then takes his staff and rod and starts walking towards the wolf. The wolf studders and stammers and then runs away back into the woods. Everyone is astonished yet again. How could a Shepard be this powerful to scare away the enemy with just words? This Shepard is truly amazing!
